Low background detector for a mass-spectrometer
Description
The parameters of low energy ion detector designed as tandem type microchannel plates (MCP) are measured. The measurements were performed in the mode of the single ions count. It is shown that a high amplification coefficient of MCP for the ions with energy tens keV is connected with a high magnitude of the secondary electron emission coefficient. 6 refs.; 2 figs.; 1 tab
