Mixed complexes of thorium with 8-quinolinol and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide
Description
The solvent extraction of Th4+ from aqueous solutions, pH = 3, ionic strength = 0.1 M (NaClO4) with 8-quinolinol (QOH) and with mixtures of QOH and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) in various diluents is investigated. Separation of Th4+ from lanthanide fission products represented by Gd3+ is also investigated. (orig.)
