Description

This paper describes the dedicated control and data acquisition system (CADAS) of a new in-vessel laser viewing system. CADAS allows real-time data flow up to 2 Mbytes/s from the acquisition boards of the system front end to the disk and network while it performs the following main tasks: (i) control of the laser beam deflection for in vessel scanning; (ii) control of the laser alignment system; (iii) image acquisition and storing; and (iv) interlocking control. All these functions are controlled by a suitable interface both for the application and the graphical user interface. (author)
