Positron annihilation lifetime measurement of low temperature electron irradiated Fe-Cr-Ni and Fe-Cr-Ni-P alloys

Description

Positron annihilation lifetime measurements have been performed for Fe-Cr-Ni and Fe-Cr-Ni-P irradiated by electrons at 77K. Isochronal annealing experiments were made from 100K to 600K. It has been shown that P atoms influence on the migration temperature of the self interstitial atoms. Moreover, it has also been shown that P atoms suppress the clustering of vacancies probably due to the precipitates Fe2P formation. The vacancy migration temperature was determined as about 350K and was not affected by the presence of P atoms, which suggests that P atoms have weak interaction with vacancies. (orig.)
