Description
Liquid waste from the partially decommissioned reprocessing plant at Mol, Belgium, is being bituminized at Eurochemic's Eurobitum plant where it is also being stored. The first main operating results are assessed, and show that the process provides a safe convenient solution to the waste problem. The amount of liquid waste treated since active startup in 1978 to 1980 is 863.4 m3, other main operating results are also given. The plant and the liquid wastes being treated are described. (U.K.)
