Trend and subjects of atomic energy measurement system technology
Description
The expert committee on investigation of atomic energy measurement system held 14 meetings from January, 1986 to December, 1987 aiming at the investigation of trend and the examination of problems, placing emphasis on the radiation-measuring system technology which is used in the wide fields of atomic energy. As the results, concerning the radiation-measuring system technology carried out in the wide fields of atomic energy utilization such as nuclear power stations, nuclear fusion experiment facilities, medical treatment facilities, accelerator-utilizing facilities and others, it was able to investigate the various present trend and to examine the subjects for hereafter, such as the development of new detectors, radiation-signal processing system, software technology and the method of constituting measurement system. In this report, the activities of investigation by the committee for two years are summarized, and radiation detectors and signal-processing technology, the radiation-measuring system technology for nuclear power stations and nuclear fusion experiment facilities, the utilization of radiation and the measurement system technology in medicine and medical treatment fields, the trend in accelerator-utilizing facilities and radiation-measuring system technology and others are described.
