Elastic Scattering of High-Energy Neutrons by Deuterons at 90 MeV

  • 1. Department of Physics, Kyoto University (Japan)

Description

Recently, the theory of multiple scattering has made remarkable progress. This progress was motivated by the development of the impulse approximation. Hence it is of interest to examine quantitatively the validity of this approximation in n-d scattering. If this approximation appears to be unsuccessful, even as applied to n-d scattering, we might have no hope of applying it to the many body problem. (author)
