Description
The general operating principles and design of a polarized ''frozen'' target are described. In this target, the high degree of polarization of the working substance, obtained by the dynamic method in a field of 26.9 kGs at a temperature of 0.3 K, is preserved for a long time in a weaker (approximately 10 kGs) and less homogeneous magnetic field due to the cooling of the target to a temperature of 0.035 K. To achieve deep cooling of the working substance, use is made of the method of dissolving 3He in 4He. The working substance used in the target is propanediol-1.2 with an admixture of Cr5. The characteristics of the cryogenic and measuring equipment obtained under real conditions of a nuclear experiment on an accelerator are presented
