Continuing exploration interests; activity in uranium, potash, coal
Description
Survey geologists are doing extensive work in northern Saskatchewan mapping selected areas of the Precambrian Shield with a view to delineating, and understanding the formation of, uranium-bearing deposits. Underwater exploration techniques are being perfected and the federal-provincial Uranium Reconnaissance Program conducted five projects. (E.C.B.)
