Rotation and magnetic activity in main-sequence stars
Creators
Description
The production of stellar magnetic fields by the interaction of convection and rotation is characterized, summarizing the results of recent theoretical and observational investigations. Typical data are presented graphically, and consideration is given to the rotational evolution of low-mass stars, the dependence of magnetic activity on stellar parameters, direct and indirect measurements of magnetic activity, and magnetic-cycle periods. 121 references
