Description
The nonlinear dynamics of a finite-amplitude Alfven wave in a disperse modulational regime is analyzed. A route to Hamiltonian turbulent dynamics is found and the dependence of the degree in which the dynamics are turbulent on the initial amplitude of the pump Alfven wave and the parameter β is studied.
