Real time system design considerations for a PC based process disturbance analyser

  • 1. Electronics and Instrumentation Laboratory, Kalpakkam (India)

Description

The process disturbance analyser (PDA) is a specialized system that is used for detecting, recording and analysing disturbances like reactor trip occurring in a process plant. For an effective disturbance analysis, it is required to analyse the state change of digital signals i.e. from contactors, circuit breakers etc. and also the variation of analog signals that represent the physical variables. This paper discusses the system design aspects of the PDA. The PDA was implemented for the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station
