Development of CR-39 plastic for observation of heavy primary cosmic rays
Creators
- 1. Waseda Univ., Tokyo (Japan). Science and Engineering Research Lab.
Description
CR-39 plastic with high sensitivity for high energy heavy ions has been developed. Its sensitivity, uniformity, surface roughness after etching and temperature dependence of sensitivity are described. In addition, the application of new CR-39 to particle identification of heavy primary cosmic rays, space biology and search of magnetic monopoles are discussed. (author)
