Description
We consider the existence of elementary or composite color-bearing scalar quanta within hadrons. The effect of color-singlet quark-scalar configurations upon a number of baryon observables is analyzed. In particular, the neutron-charge-radius value supports the presence of such scalars, possibly indicated dynamic quark pairing within baryons. However, the axial-vector D/F ratio suggests the need for other dynamic effects such as quantum-chromodynamic radiative corrections
