Stabilization of the kinetic instabilities in a D - 3He ambipolar reactor

Description
Preliminary results of numerical study on instabilities in the central cell of ambipolar reactor with D-3 He plasma are presented. The method applied makes it possible to determine the spectrum of oscillations, radial structure of Eigenmodes and increments of various modes growth. It is noted that suppression of instabilities in ambipolar reactor on the D - 3 He basis is possible: a) by practically complete withdrawal of the synthesis products and b) increase of the plasma general β up to 0.9
