Alpha-transfer reactions with large energy transfers
- 1. Cyclotron Institute, Texas A M University, College Station, Texas 77843
Description
Alpha-transfer reactions (20Ne,16O), (14N,10B), and (13C,9Be) on a 40Ca target were studied at 262, 153, 149 MeV, respectively. Analysis in terms of the direction-reaction theory reproduced the observed continuum spectra and angular distributions well, except for the cross section of the reaction (20Ne,16O) at small angles, which is attributed to a projectile breakup process
