Magnetic moments of light hypernuclei with the pmnkY configuration (Y = Λ, Σ and Ξ)
Description
With the use of the effective moment method, we calculate magnetic moments of light hypernuclei, assuming shell model wave functions with good isospin. The following systems are investigated; [I] nY and pY systems, [II] pnY systems, [III] pn2Y and p2nY systems and [IV] p2n2Y systems, where p and n show a proton and a neutron, and Y denotes Λ-, Σ- and Ξ hyperon, respectively. The results for p-shell Λ-hypernuclei are compared with the theoretical values obtained by T. Motoba et al., who used the three-cluster [α-x-Λ] model (x = n, P, d, t, 3He or α). Dynamical effects on hypernuclear magnetic moments are also discussed using the configuration mixing theory. We briefly comment on magnetic moments of sd- and pf-shell hypernuclei. (author)
