Determination of layers in the sediment of Neusiedler See by neutron activation analysis
Description
The concentration of elements, which could be determined with 10% precision (or better) by neutron activation analysis was used for the characterization of layers in the sediment of Neusiedler See. Up to eight elements in the following ranges were determined: 20-90 ppm Li, 0.3-0.7% Na, 0.7-2.7% K, 2.5-9.5% Al, 20-120 ppm V, 1.9-6.4% Mg, 1.5-17% Ca, 250-1600 ppm Mn. Significant differences were found in all sediment cores. (Author)
