Description
The probability for the parity nonconserving process 6 Li* IπT = 0+1; E* = 3.56 MeV → α + d is studied. Due to the fact that there are no 0- - states close to the 0+1; E* = 3.56 MeV - state in the low lying spectrum of 6 Li* - nucleus the 6 Li* IπT = 0+; E* = 3.56 MeV → α + d decay process is a result of the admixture of 0- α - d continuum spectrum state with the 6 Li 0+1; E* = 3.56 MeV - state through the weak PNC interaction. Within the one level - one channel Fonda-Newton approach the width of above decay is calculated. The interior wave functions are supposed to be given by the shell model with effective residual interactions given by the OXBASH - code. The exterior wave functions are calculated from a double - folding model interaction potential acting between the alpha particle and the deuteron and obtained with a M3Y nucleon-nucleon interaction.
