Fragmentation of hot quantum drops

Description
Static equation of state calculations are performed for infinite nuclear matter. Statistical and dynamical expansion calculations for finite and hot quantum systems lead to averaged evolution trajectories. Dynamical calculations are performed and compared with static mean-field calculations. The break-up trajectories in the T,rho plane fluctuate around the critical values of the EOS results. Small and large fragments are found near the critical temperature T/sub c/. At critical temperatures fragments are found in U-shape spectra. Density distributions are studied and evidence for volume dependent multifragmentation processes is obtained for most break-up temperatures. Above the critical threshold fast and small fragments are counted. Mass spectra, multiplicities and momentum distributions are presented
