Determination of the cationic composition distributions in mixed uranium and plutonium oxides by diffraction-line profile analysis

Description
A method of splitting up a X-ray diffraction line profile is developed and applied to heterogeneous mixed uranium and plutonium oxides to obtain the distribution of the cationic composition. Close individual peaks, each one linked to a single composition, lead to a resolution of 2% in plutonium content. The results are compared to those obtained by microprobe analysis. (orig.)
