Het voornemen van de Minister van Economische Zaken om de splitsing van energiebedrijven in een commercieel bedrijf en een netwerkbedrijf wettelijk te regelen heeft veel stof doen opwaaien. Het management van de energiebedrijven, de aandeelhouders ervan, de politiek en met name ook financiele en juridische adviseurs hebben zich in het debat gestort dat naar aanleiding daarvan is opgelaaid.
