Description
The behaviour of Hf(4) and Th(4) as homolog and pseudohomolog of 104 element and also Sr(4) as 102 element and other elements (Am Cm, Eu homolog in H2SO4 and H2SO4/HF solutions, depending on the acids concentration within the interval of 10-2-1 mole/l H2SO4 and 10-4-1 mole.l HF in 0.05 mole/l H2SO4, is studied. It is found that presence of HF is the H2SO4 solutions produces higher effect on the Hf distribution coefficients as compared to the distribution coefficients of actinoid elements. Optimal conditions for separation of elements of the 4B group of the periodical system from actinoid elements (Cm, Pu), Sr and Eu are determined on the basis of the data obtained. The possibility of studying chemical properties of short-lived heavy and transactinoid elements by way of comparative study on behaviour of their lighter homologs and pseudohomologs in solutions of various composition is discussed
