Description

Lumboischiadic syndrome in our population is a serious socio-economic problem. Periradicular (PRT) with injection of corticosteroids was done in 19 patients with age ranging from 30 to 66 years (mean 46 years). The most frequent indication for PRT was compressive LIS, failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS) and spinal canal stenosis. The effect of therapy was estimated with modified Mac nab method. Excellent result: 1 point, no effect 6 points. There were 9 patients with excellent result, 9 patients with good result and 1 with medium result. Average result in the group was 1,6 points. None of the patients had worsening of his symptoms, nor complications occurred. CT guided PRT is safe, easy to perform and minimally invasive invasive therapeutic method, success of witch depends on correct neurologic indication. PRT is an useful addition to conservative treatment in patients with LIS. (authors). 2 schemes, 2 tabs., 3 figs., 12 refs
