Delayed effects of intraperitoneal administration of small 252Cf doses to rats
Creators
Description
In experiments on rats a study was made of the effect of intraperitoneal administration of small 252Cf doses (0.006 to 0.29 μ Ci/kg) on life span, boly weight, cellular composition of peripheral blood and dynamics of tumor occurrence. Osteosarcomas were found to develop with a dose of 10 rad absorbed in the skeleton. As calculated per a dose unit, a higher osteosarcomogenic efficiency of small doses as compared with large ones was demonstrated
