Near detectors for the T2K experiment

Creators

  • 1. University of Victoria and TRIUMF (Canada)

Description

The T2K experiment will study oscillations of muon neutrinos produced at the JPARC accelerator that travel 295 km to the Super-Kamiokande detector. This presentation describes the baseline design and capabilities of the near detectors proposed to measure the neutrino beam properties of the unoscillated beam. Timescales for the construction and initial operation are given
