Bounce-averaged kinetic equations
Description
The purpose of this report is to summarize the equations and definitions which enter into the bounce-average kinetic description of a mirror-confined plasma. The effects of time- and space-dependent ambipolar potentials and magnetic fields, as well as anisotropic Rosenbluth potentials are considered. The final result is a bounce-averaged kinetic equation which is written in ''conservation form''. Boundary conditions and a ''normal mode'' equation are also given here
