On the theory of collision cascades initiated by fast charged particles. 1
Description
Collision cascades excited by fast charged particles in a solid are considered. The high-energy region in which the determining role is played by slowing down moving particles by electrons of a substance is thoroughly investigated. The total number of shifted atoms per a single primary shifted atom of the substance (cascade function) is found. It is shown that in the high-energy region the cascade function ceases to depend on the energy of a primary shifted atom
