Multi-dimensional computer simulation of intense beams

  • 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Plasmaphysik, Garching (Germany, F.R.)

Description

The present work presents results obtained with a Cray 1 computer for 2 1/2-dimensional simulation (assuming r-z geometry) applied to: stationary beams; containment in a long 'bucket', end effects bunch compression; influence of bunch shapes that lead to nonlinear self-forces propagation of perturbations; end effects, finite wall resistivity.
