Shell corrections for finite depth potentials

Description

An improved version of the shell correction method is suggested valid for use with finite depth potentials without referring to unbound part of the spectrum. The improved values for the shell corections are quite stable with respect to the variation of free parameters. Comparison with earlier calculations is given. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Eine verbesserte Version der Schalenkorrekturmethode wird vorgeschlagen; sie gilt fuer Potentiale endlicher Tiefe ohne auf die ungebundenen Zustaende des Spektrums Bezug zu nehmen. Die verbesserten Werte der Schalenkorrekturen sind im Hinblick auf die Aenderung freier Parameter ziemlich stabil. Ein Vergleich mit frueheren Rechnungen wird angegeben. (orig.)
