Development and application of radioimmunoassays and enzyme immunoassays in microbiological diagnosis. 1

  • 1. Medizinische Akademie, Magdeburg (German Democratic Republic)

Description

A universally applicable indirect solid phase radioimmunoassay and enzyme immunoassay has been developed. With application of antigens adsorptively bound to PVC-blisters and microtiter plates of polystyrene, respectively, antibodies and their belonging to a defined class of immunoglobulins can be proved with a uniform system of indicators. The indicating system consists of nonlabelled rabbit antihumanglobulin sera and labelled (125I and horseradish peroxydase, resp.) antirabbit globulin from sheep. In order to solve the problems of specifity, antihumanglobulin sera, purified from immunoadsorbent, and as labelled antibodies pure antibodies against rabbit globulin, received by immunoadsorption, were applied. A standardization with suitable standard sera is recommended for the determination of antibody titers. (author)
