MFTFB+T magnetostatic and circuit fault-induced forces
Description
This report presents the results of work performed on the estimation of the Lorentz forces acting on the various coils in the MFTFB+T mirror machine. The analyses incude: (1) static loading under normal operating conditions; (2) transient loading during a normal discharge; and (3) transient loading for one coil short circuits with all coils discharging. For the purpose of this memo, normal operation is defined as any possible combination of circuits fully charged to their operating current level or at zero current. This definition would then include any possible scenario for the entire system or partial system at full operating current
