Description
A new way to introduce oxygen in TECs linked with application of oxygen-containing monocrystalline tungsten as an emitter is studied. In contrast to the earlier used external as to emitter oxygen sources the emitter with internal oxygen source is characterized by essentially nonlinear occurrence of temperature dependence of work function. Stabilization of work function of (110) facet of oxygen-containing tungsten occurs at temperatures exceeding 200 K within 5.6-5.8 eV range. 14 refs., 4 figs
