Experience in the implementation of the IAEA transport regulations in Cuba

Description
The Cuban Competent Authority responsible for approvals and authorizations in respect to the transport of radioactive material has paid special attention to obtaining assurance that all transport requirements are being met in practice by the users. With this purpose, a consequent policy has been applied based on the establishment of supplementary requirements to those imposed by the IAEA Transport Regulations. The paper provides detailed discussion about the implementation of the IAEA Transport Regulations in the Cuban Regulatory Framework. (author)
