A microprocessor controlled system for the collection of air shower data
Description
A method for recording data from a variety of cosmic-ray detectors is described. A microprocessor at each detector handles the data at the detector and responds to commands from a central computer. Data to be recorded are transmitted via twisted pair cable to the computer and stored on mini-floppy discs for subsequent analysis. The system allows for flexibility in number and type of detector and for ease of servicing. (orig.)
