Cytogenetic effects for persons injured as a result of the Chrenobyl' NPP accident

Description

The results of studies made in the 30-km zone for persons taking part in accident elimination in order to estimate its genetic effects are discussed. According to the data of cytogenetic analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes different contingents of persons subjected to radiation effects have levels of chromosomal aberrations correspondent to external irradiation doses in the range of 8-30 rad. The factor of irradiation time should be taken into account when conducting biological dosemetry. The positive correlation between doses determined by physical and biological dosemetric methods is observed
