Floating type storage container for spent fuel transport casks
Description
Purpose: To improve the safety reduce the construction cost, as well as enable to optionally select the adequate storage place. Constitution: A storage chamber disposed within a floating body is provided at the outer side thereof with a radiation-shielding water tank. Further, the storage chamber is provided with an air supplying equipment for enable cooling. A mooring device and a dolphin are disposed to the floating body for retaining the body at a predetermined position. Since the radiation rays are shielded by the water tank it can be used safely and since it does not need field construction works different from the case of on-land installation, the construction cost be reduced significantly.
