Description

Based on the stable element of gadolinium, some intermetallic compounds which exhibits unstable magnetic and structural behavior have been made which show the Kondo effect. The crystal structure and the magnetic behavior of gadolinium-bismuth intermetallic compounds respecting to this effect have been examined through the X-ray spectra, A.C. susceptibility and the resistivity measurements. As the construction heat of the GdxBiy intermetallic compounds are strongly dependent to the percentage of magnetic ions of Gd, the nature and behavior of free electrons and band function competition must be considered carefully. The functionality of decreasing of heat formation by increasing of the magnetic ions of Gd can be due to the polarization of electrons (integral of exchange interaction of J(0))). Increasing the number of magnetic ions, the crystal structure changes to orthorhombic and the magnetic structure varies from Anti ferro to ferro, then to a complex unstable phase and finally by exhibiting the Kondo effect, the phase would stabilize.
