Description

Induced depopulation of the 180m Ta isomer in the (γ,γ') reaction is studied experimentally. The photon flux has been produced by the conversion of the (5-7.5) MeV electron beam. After activation of the nat Ta foils the yield of the 180m Ta radioactive nuclide has been measured and the probability of the 180m Ta isomer depopulation has been deduced. The possibility to detect the 180m Ta isomer depopulation in (n,n'γ) reaction is discussed. (authors)
