Shift of hadron resonances produced in nuclear reactions

Description

A new phenomenon of shift and broadening of hadron resonances produced in nuclear interactions, which was discovered in recent exclusive investigations, is discussed. It is shown that this effect probably is rather general and can be explained in terms of rescatterings of resonance decay products on residual nuclear system. Theoretical results for X(1500) resonance from stopped p-bar capture on deuterons p-bard→ps2π+3π- and for Δ-isobar from the reaction 12C(p,n)Δ++... are in close agreement with experimental data. In the case of Δ isobar production many problems could be solved with the help of the investigation of the (p,n) reactions on the deuteron. Therefore we give several estimations and predictions for the variation of Δ-parameters in different regions of spectator momenta for deuteron reactions
