Application of light pipes with large cross sections for transmission of service data image to the photographic film of a hydrogen chamber

Description

The investigation results are reported and one of the versions of fibre elements application for transmission of service data image when photographing the hydrogen bubble chamber is presented. The tested light pipes have the cross section 50x25 mm2, length 500 mm. The service data image obtained by contact method is shown. Photographing with various radii of fibre element deflection are performed and it has been found out that the image structure has not changed i. e. the fibres are sufficiently elastic and in certain deformation limits mechanically are not destroyed. It is concluded that the light pipes may become a basic element of devices for service data formation and transmission in optical mechanical systems in the bubble chamber technique for obtaining film material of high quality
