Observation of L-series X-ray spectra radiated by high temperature nickel plasmas
Creators
- 1. Physics International Co., 2700 Merced Street, San Leandro, CA
Description
Intense L-series characteristic x-ray line spectra have been measured for the first time for a nickel wire z-pinch high temperature plasma. Diagram and satellite emissions due to n=2→ 3 and n=2→ 4 transitions have been observed in the 0.8-1.5 keV photon energy region for nickel ionization stages Ni XIX through Ni XXII. Spectrum classifications and a description of spectrometer techniques used are presented
