Monopole and quadrupole incompressibility of the hydrogen atom using deformed oscillation trial wave functions

Description
We use deformed harmonic oscillator trial wave functions for the hydrogen atom. For the cases considered 1S and 2P it is shown that it does not pay to deform, but one can calculate the quadrupole incompressibility and compare it with that of the monopole. The virial theorem (E=Ek) is satisfied with deformed oscillator trial wave functions when the minimum energy is obtained. (orig.)
