Seasonal dynamics of 60Co buildup by freshwater algae under natural conditions

Description

It is established that the values of 60Co accumulation coefficient in freshwater algae in natural conditions can change5-6 times depending on seasons, reaching maximum values in summer. In this case specific activity of radionuclides in water of reservoir can be essentially changed depending on NPP operation mode. In such a nonequilibrium system it is rather questinable to use the accumulation coefficient as a constant parameter for determination radionuclide specific activity
