Detailed-balance test of time-reversal symmetry for a pair of close-lying resonances

Description
We present a thorough analysis of tests of detailed balance involving a pair of interfering resonances. For two close-lying (overlapping) compound-nucleus resonances in a regime where the average resonance spacing is much larger than the average resonance width, we find enhancement factors as large as 103--104
