New radiation sources using high energy electrons
Description
New findings are presented on experiments on the 800-MeV ETL electron storage ring TERAS and associated facilities including the ETL linac. These are (1) on the Touschek lifetime of the stored beam current at low energy operation of TERAS for a visible free electron laser experiment, (2) on an electron undulating ring dedicated to VLSI lithography, and (3) on quasi-monochromatic photon beams produced with high energy electrons, such as channeling radiation in crystals using the ETL linac, backward Compton scattered laser beam using TERAS, and so on. 44 refs.; 19 figs.; 3 tabs
