Speciation of radionuclides in environmental materials
Description
The bioaccumulation and fate of radionuclides released to the environment is an area of current concern. A preliminary study of the occurrence and distribution of radionuclide speciation in the environment has been carried out. Particular emphasis has been placed on the role of organically bound radionuclides either as distinct organometallic compounds or as by complexes. Liquid chromatography was used for the separation of components. Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used for the detection of separated species
