Observations of binary stars by speckle interferometry

Description
Speckle interferometry has been used to study a large number of binary-star systems and variable stars. Thirty five observations on 30 objects are presented These objects include six radial-velocity or photometric variable stars. Of these, new components are reported for the systems epsilon UMa, γ Boo and W Sgr and the system σ Sco is resolved into three components. The technique provides a very accurate means of measuring the separations of these systems. (author)
