Description

Full text: The report presents analysis of both the authors' results and those obtained in other laboratories studying application of high-velocity plasma jets for various technological purposes. It was demonstrated that pulsed plasma jets may be applied for modified layers production, powder sealing, coating deposition, nano- and micro-structures production in surface vicinity, as well as for melting metallic tools surfaces. Advantages of this direction for scientific, technological and industrial applications are demonstrated by concrete examples of materials and tools. The work was funded by the Project N3078 STCU and NAS Programme of Ukraine 'Nanosystems, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies (new principles of production of nano films and coatings using electron, ion and plasma flows).'
