Description
The invention is concerned with a water-cooled nuclear reactor, especially a steam generating heavy water reactor (SGHWR) for which only two loops are provided (compared with four loops for a 1,300 MWe station). According to the invention the main feed-water pumps are connected through water inlet valves with the water inlets of the upper steam separators. The valves are controlled in dependence of the pressure in the coolant loops and will close on pressure drop, which also causes the main feed-water pumps to transfer feed-water directly into the lower collecting chamber of the two loops as well as into the pressure tubes as a spray cooling. Die Erfindung betrifft einen wassergekuehlten Kernreaktor, insbesondere einen Schwerwasserreaktor zur Dampferzeugung (steam generating heavy water reactor), bei dem nur 2 Kuehlkreislaeufe vorgesehen sind (entsprechend 4 Kuehlkreislaeufen fuer eine 1.300 MW-Anlage). Erfindungsgemaess sind die Hauptspeisewasserpumpen mit den Wassereinlaessen der Dampf-Oberkessel ueber Wassereinlassventile verbunden. Die Ventile werden in Abhaengigkeit vom Druck in den Kuehlkreislaeufen gesteuert und schliessen bei Druckabfall, der auch bewirkt, dass die Hauptspeisewasserpumpen Speisewasser direkt in die untere Sammelkammer der beiden Kuehlkreislaeufe sowie in die Druckrohre als Spruehkuehlung foerdern.
